    Pneumatic clamps

Pneumatic clamps are generally characterised by the fact that they are actuated using compressed air. This relieves the strain on the user, particularly where frequent clamping operations are carried out. norelem offers a wide range of pneumatic clamps.

    Standard pneumatic clamp

Compared to manual clamps, pneumatic clamps can be actuated simultaneously and can also be closed in a specific sequence. In addition, individual or multiple clamps can be controlled from different points. They can be controlled manually or automatically. Based on the principle of the toggle lever system, the pneumatic clamp remains closed even in the event of an air failure. Moreover, air consumption is low due to the high final transmission ratio. Further advantages of the toggle lever system are the large opening travel achieved by swivelling the clamping arm and the resultant optimum force and movement ratios.

    Pneumatic push-pull toggle clamps

Pneumatic clamps in push-pull toggle style can be used both as push and pull clamps. The robust design and double-acting FESTO pneumatic cylinder guarantee a long service life for the clamp.

Pneumatic push-pull toggle clamps from norelem are available in three different stroke lengths.

    Vertical pneumatic clamps

Vertical pneumatic clamps from norelem are available with either a horizontal cylinder or a vertical cylinder. They are characterised by higher holding and clamping forces (heavy-duty version). Both clamps are particularly suitable for installation in special machines and transfer systems. Hardened and ground bearing journals running in Teflon bearings ensure maintenance-free operation. The fastening screws of the axles are equipped with LOCTITE so that the screw connections are secured against self-loosening due to vibration and shock loads. In addition, LOCTITE thread lockers prevent loss of the pretension.

    Pneumatic swing clamps

The pneumatic swing clamp can be used to hold certain workpieces in place on jigs, plates and workbenches. The swing function is designed to ensure that the clamping points for inserting and removing the workpieces are free, thus guaranteeing an optimum workflow. The block design of the housing offers universal fastening possibilities, enabling the swing clamp to be optimally aligned with the workpiece being clamped.

Pneumatic swing clamps from norelem are available for both right and left-swing alignments to suit the application.

    Mini clamps

As the name suggests, mini clamps are characterised by their small and lightweight dimensions. They are mainly used for economical production. Their areas of application include transfer lines, machine tools, fixtures and special machines. Mini clamp enable precise positioning of the clamping arm and are absolutely self-locking, preventing the clamp from opening due to machining forces when in clamped position. The toggle lever clamp ensures that high clamping forces are achieved even with low air pressure and air consumption. Mini clamps are maintenance-free as they are equipped with permanent lubrication and special bearing bushes.

norelem offers mini clamps with and without electric end position feedback.
